First order of Business. Who is hoping to set up a station for Field Day? So far I know of KD9DZT. who else? Joe WB9SBD

Hello all, We’re excited to announce that this year’s Field Day will be held at Owen Park in collaboration with Yellow Thunder and WARC. We plan to host it at WARC next year. Our goal is for both clubs to make a strong, coordinated effort over these two years to make Field Day a great success. While many of our seasoned operators have participated in numerous Field Days, it’s precisely their experience and knowledge that will be key to making this event a success. I personally have immense respect for our Elmers and always enjoy the opportunity to learn from them and be in their company. Yellow Thunder has proven expertise in managing multiple stations with minimal interference, but careful setup is essential for that to work. We’re planning to operate four stations: ? Phone ? CW ? Digital ? GOTA (Get On The Air) Since some stations may be on the same bands at times, careful planning around antenna placement and types will be crucial. Good planning can make or break Field Day, and we’re counting on everyone’s input to help us get this right. I’ve attached a map of the Owen Park area with measured lines for scale. We also have permission from the landowner to the south to use the adjacent field, which should give us more flexibility with setup. Let’s start by gathering a list of antennas that people have available, so we can begin coordinating. It’s never too early to start planning! Looking forward to everyone’s input.
