This policy was announced on November 16, 2022 and will be applied to all Stripe accounts as of February 1, 2023. As a reminder, here’s a summary of the policy:

We recently introduced for Stripe Billing, which offer powerful testing capabilities and reduce the need to keep test mode subscriptions indefinitely. Additionally, we’ve heard from users that test mode subscriptions are often created once and then rarely needed beyond a specific testing period.

As a result, we’re rolling out a new policy for test mode subscriptions:

Test mode subscriptions and subscription schedules will automatically be canceled 90 days after creation.

Test mode subscriptions and subscription schedules (and their corresponding invoices) will automatically be deleted 30 days after cancellation.

This policy will go into effect for Stripe accounts created on or after today.
