D-Rats w/IC-80 GPS Data CABLE

Ralph Barbakoff All Messages By This Member #542 Can the USB interface which plugs into the top of the IC-80 be used as the computer to radio link on the IC-80 or is the serial cable the only method? Not able to get transmit data through the USB interface which plugs into the top of the IC-80. Ralph Barbakoff WA9LKZ ?
Patrick Connor All Messages By This Member #544 You need the cable with the 2.5mm connector that plugs into the side of the radio. Also be sure to set the radio to Low Speed Data Mode. This includes turning off the GPS function and setting DV DATA TX to AUTO. The port speeds in the radio and D-RATS settings must match. The IC-80 defaults to 4800. Good luck and 73 Patrick (N3TSZ)
