Just found this resource dated 2018.? Apparently the test was successful.??



Anyone able to replicate this?? AGWPE requires a Windows machine for server side or could be supported from regular d-rats repeater (raspberry pi)? I saw it uses soundmodem which I have tested before for WinLink packet.?

Think this could be really, really positive.?

? ?Yes, we have done this many times many tests. Several things to remember

1) Tell all users DO NOT USE THE PING FEATURE...This Will cause massive collisions on the freq.

2) Set your TX DELAY as fast as your radio can handle...( Not all are the same)

3) Let Hang Time be default ( Ussally )

Other setting tweak until it works for you. Sometimes a user can/will miss a?

A message depending on traffic and how good a signal you have from the D-Rats server.

Have a doubt when you refer to:

My conceptualization was something like:

D-rats client --> Packer soundmodem --> IC9700 (RF) --> RF Network (BPQ)

Not sure where the d-rats server fits or is required. Sorry for my ignorance.? I run a d-rats repeater (raspberry pi4) inside an AREDN? Mesh (internet based PVN) but still waiting for users within the mesh to install D-Rats and test. Mesh users are few at moment.
