D-Rats Current Version

What is the current version of D-Rats for Windows?

Thanks,
K5GTX

Excellent question! :-)

My ARES organization has decided that for Windows, Daily Build 04072014 is the latest version. For Mac it would be Daily Build 02232012. And Linux would be whatever version is in the software repository for "D-RATS."

Links to the downloads here:?http://washcoares.org/?page_id=547

Chris,

Where did the 04072014 build come from? It doesn't show up on?. What fixes are in it?

Nice ARES website link, it looks to be very helpful!

Hi Craig,

I don't know the history of 04172014, however it is in the alternative D-RATS build directory (http://d-rats.danplanet.com/download/tmp/). Unfortunately Dan Smith (KK7DS) of DanPlanet.com doesn't seem to be active anymore in its development.

It appears that mapping works better in this version though...

I wonder if this was related to the problem a year or so ago when it was discovered that under certain circumstances the Windows version would occasionally consume 100% of the CPU? Thanks again for pointing it out, I'm going to give it a try myself.

Btw, I heard back from Dan on this mysterious 2014 Windows D-Rats build:

The 04172014 build was merely a custom version I rolled for someone with
a new custom form in it. That's all. No mapping or other functional
changes of any kind.

So that means that 02232012 is still the last release of D-Rats.
