You should be able to uninstall it in Control panel, Programs the way you uninstall any programs.? Other than that, delete the folder it’s in.

OK, I'll bite, what's a Crup DStar Program? Is this something new?

Hello All,
You may not remember the stage play and movie West Side Story, but in one scene between the Police Officer [Crupke (sp)] and the Jets gang they tell him to 'Crup You' and made a very rude, crass hand sign.
During a practice session, in mixed chorus, the singers completely carried out the movement and the Music teacher turned 5 shades of RED!!! One rather embarrassed young lady.
PS. We recorded the performance at Huntsville High; Huntsville AL in 1968 - I still have my copy of the record as I was a member of the Mixed Chorus during that year as a Senior.

I know this question is kind of old, but if you can't remove it using control panel, according to the d-rats documentation, because it is such a simple installation, all you have to do is delete the entire d-rats directory.? The program does not use the system registry at all.
Since I offered this, does anybody know where d-rats stores its settings?? They are in some file in the d-rats directory tree somewhere, I haven't had luck finding the file.? I'm trying to find a way to save the settings so I can share them with others, rather than changing one item at a time.
Thanks -? Jim? k6nra

The answer depends on the operating system:
Windows:?? $SystemDrive:\Users\$USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\D-RATS
? --> If you can't find this directory in File Explorer, you have
to enable the displaying of hidden directories
Linux:?? ??? ~$USER/.d-rats

David:
I'm running win7 prof.? I have it showing hidden and system
files.
Under that path, under roaming, no d-rats directory.
A few days ago I went through the installation directory, checking
the
"date modified" on files, I've never seen where a file was
written to and
the date not changed, settings have been changed but no files show a
recent date.? There were many files there, and I have to admit, it
was
late and I could have missed something.
I wonder where else the settings could be stored.? I suppose I could
try
a brute force method, completely remove all d-rats s/w, re-install and
check
to see if it has my old settings, if it did, that would tell me the
settings are stored
elsewhere.
Although the manual said it didn't use the registry, I searched it too,
no luck there.

David: I have been using 0.3.3 up until today, when I downloaded and installed daily 02172012. I noticed as it installed, deleted a bunch of previous files and I assume replaced them with new ones. My directory tree looks nothing like what you are showing. I have nothing important to save, I'm thinking about just deleting the entire directory tree and re-installing. The reason I went to the daily version, I've been having problems with loosing control of my 92ad, that is, sometimes it would xmit, and most of the time it wouldn't. I also downloaded the latest version of my usb-rs-232 adaptor. I actually have three problems, but I want to solve one at a time. My other problem, won't connect to the internet. I have a new MikroTik router, which has a complicated setup, and when I get it all figured out, I'll have to deal with its firewall and port forwarding. Jim At 04:45 PM 9/9/2014, you wrote:

David: I uninstalled the program using control panel. I then went in and manually removed the d-rats directory tree. I reinstalled the older version, 0.3.3 or whatever it is. Brought the program up, and it retained all of my old settings, so that sort of proves that the settings are stored outside of the d-rats directory. I know, others have said it's hidden and I'll continue looking for it. My directory still looks nothing like what you show below, strange. I just found this yahoo group yesterday after looking all over the internet for a d-rats forum. You have been most helpful. Back to the drawing board - Jim At 04:45 PM 9/9/2014, you wrote:

Hey Jim,
?
I have been using 0.3.3 up until today, when I downloaded
and
installed daily 02172012.
Hmmm.. why such an old daily?? The newest daily is 04/17/2014 @
The reason I went to the daily version, I've been having

with loosing control of my 92ad,
that is, sometimes it would xmit, and most of the time it
wouldn't. I also downloaded the latest version
of my usb-rs-232 adaptor.
What kind of serial chip is in your USB adapter?? counterfit
prolific, real prolific, FTDI, Si, etc??? If you have a cheap
adapter using the counterfit chip, running the newest drivers will
actually hurt you.? Read this:
??
I actually have three problems, but I want to solve one at
a
time. My other problem, won't connect
to the internet. I have a new MikroTik router, which has a
complicated setup, and when I get it all
figured out, I'll have to deal with its firewall and port
forwarding.
D-RATS doesn't seen to require any port forwards.? It connects to
the pre-defined "RAT flector" and just works.

David: Problem solved. After uninstalling, re-installing, going to c:\users\holtzman\appdata\roaming, now have d-rats. I could swear it was not there before, but there it is, and the config file is a plain text file, just what I wanted. OK people, you can close the trouble ticket on this one! Now back to two other problems, the problem keying up the radio may be gone, I downloaded the latest prolific drivers for my adaptor, may have solved the problem, not keying up the radio, time will tell. The problem connecting to the internet, until I get the router going right, I think that's going to still be a problem. But, can it be something as simple as a windoze firewall setting? I went into the firewall settings and told it to add r-rats as acceptable, still a problem. I just saw my screen try to put out a cqcqcq, all in yellow, if I recall that means it didn't go out, right? Jim At 04:45 PM 9/9/2014, you wrote:

BTW, I saw the table of baud rates, yes, I have my 92AD at 38.5K, both in

set with the device manager.? I remember with the 2820s, the driver

as to what baud rate
the device itself had to be.
