ICOM 7100

I can't get Drats to connect to the ICOM 7100. The com ports that the ICOM 7100 uses is not listed in the Drats software.

Roger,
Just highlight the comport that is listed and type in the correct one using the format given in the dialog box. Should work or at least it did for me.

May I jump in with a related question? I have an ICOM-7100 and I'm trying to configure D-Rats to work with it--using a Mac. Macs don't have COM ports, as such. Of course they do have ports, they are just not labeled COM1, COM2, etc. I am connecting computer to radio with a USB cable. Does anyone know what I would type in the D-Rats Serial Port field? I know that the radio is communicating with the computer via the USB cable because other Mac ham radio software works.

Best bet is to list your /dev directory and see what is listed. ?For example, on my iMac running OSX and in FLDigig the port I use is "/dev/tty.usbserial"

I'm not a MAC user, but I would think you could the port the other software is using and type it into the D-RATS add a port box. If it's like Linux, it should be something with a TTY in it. Just don't run the other software at the same time you are running D-RATS or there will be a conflict.

Good luck with your 7100 and D-RATS.
