Issue With Maps in D-Rats

I'm running version 0.3.9 of D-Rats, and while I don't use the email or Winlink features in it (using Gmail and RMS Express for those, as I can archive stuff in folders)...the maps display on my setup for both the Windows 10 and 11 machines have quit working. You'll see an X on the display, and positions of vehicles or other reporting stations, but no background...base, landscape, outdoors, etc. I have an API key set up for those, but it no longer works right. The previous version had a map building utility that you'd run one time to create the maps. I have no idea what I may be doing wrong with that. Is there a way to fix this??

Daryl,?
On the map set up screen there are 3 lines of URL’s. All three should be exactly the same. ?The bottom line is not correct and needs to be over written with either of the two lines that are the same. ?Then reboot drats. ?

Hi Daryl:
Be sure to use http (not https) at the url fields.? Key string fields start with ?apikey=XXXX.

Hope you get it working again!

I got his maps running again.? There are two issues that need to be changed on the Maps in Preferences.? On the base map setting, the URL as it appears on a new install is incorrect, at least in the US.? Change the ".de" at the end of the URL to ".org" and the base map will work again.

On the three URLs for the thunderforest maps you need to remove the "s" from the https: at the beginning of the URL.? That site is not using a secured server, so the added s causes the URL to fail.? HTTP:// is all that is needed there.? Once you correct these problems, and have the api key for the thunderforest maps, all will start working properly.

Thanks, glen, changes made and saved.

Until the .org stops working again, which was why it got switched to .de in the distant past. :-)

The site appears to be using HTTPS. It is msys2 that does not have the current CA certificate in its trust bundle. I suppose a ticket should be opened for msys2 on that.

On Anti-X Linux (Debian based) the https: URLs work.

There is a D-Rats ticket for improving how this and other configuration information can be more easily kept up to date on D-Rats that I really want to get to, however other higher priority tickets are on the queue right now.

Thanks Glen,
I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my new install wouldn't load maps.
