Ok, I found 'update' lzhuf_1.exe and tried it. ?No change, I restored the original exe file and it's back to as before. ?When it receives Email via RF and/or internet, and makes an effort to sent them out, but cannot.
I will be looking for some junk filter or such on the mail program... Jerry,K4NEA |

If your computer is 64 bit you may have the wrong lzhuf_1.exe

I've got D-rats to receive E-mail now, but will not send as yet. ?I checked the 'outgoing' setup and tried several changes. But now it will not even try to send.
I also get this error notice in the 'DeBug' log: [SMTP] Stopped ---- GUI Exception ---- Traceback (most recent call last): ? File "d_rats\mainapp.pyo", line 643, in __config_changed ? File "d_rats\mainapp.pyo", line 511, in refresh_config ? File "d_rats\mainapp.pyo", line 388, in _refresh_mail_threads ? It sounds like you have your e-mail accounts set up properly. There is one other step to make your e-mail work properly. Go to Preferences>E-mail Access and give yourself privileges. Enter your callsign and select "Both". I hope this fixes your issue. Download the operators and the addendum from the files section of this group. There are also instructions sheets regarding setting up and using e-mail.

E-mail via D-rats
I need some help/guidance to get my E-mail connected to D-rats. I have read and search and have not come across anything that has helped.? I have D-rats 0.3.3, and using both Windows 10 with an IC-7100 connected and a desktop and Windows 8.1 connected with an ID-51.? I can send an E-mail from the ID-51 to the IC-7100 with no problem.? When the E-mail gets into the D-rats, it downloads it fine and then indicates that it is “forwarding to username@...”.? Only the E-mail is not passed along.? I have done this trying many variations on the Outgoing setup, both with my Gmail and Bellsouth E-mail accounts .? Looking in the DeBug log, ? [MR] Routing message for WA6QFC@... to WA6QFC@... -- Exception: -- Traceback (most recent call last): ? File "d_rats\msgrouting.pyo", line 504, in _run_one ? D-Rats Net List
Is there a list of D-Rats nets?? I started a list of selected D-Star Nets, since a lot of the nets at dstarinfo.com have out of date information (mainly because those who submitted the info in the first place, haven't submitted updates to WA4YIH). If not, I can start one...but I didn't want to start one, if there was already a list available. I know of a few nets that also use D-Rats for checkins, and some nets that are D-Rats exclusively. I had asked Dan Smith a similar question some time ago and I got the impression that he had dealt with some very caustic people that fundamentally turned him off to Dstar in general.? It's really too bad as D-rats is not only a great application (still) but it also works beyond just D-star systems (Internet, AX.25 Packet, etc)!
We could reach out to Dan to see if he'd be willing to return the development repository.? I've been personally hoping that some new Python developers would jump in and add new features, etc. but it hasn't happened yet.? Alternatively, there are forks of it already out there such as: ?? --David |

Delete any devices you added to the Paths window. Check the "Accept Incoming Connections" box and click the On button. This is all you need for a basic Ratflector. Go to your router and forward port 9000 to the computer running the Ratflector. That's it. It is also a good idea to run to run an instance of the D-RATS client on the same computer as the Ratflector. First, check the "Trust Local Host" box on the Ratflector. Set up the D-RATS client with a club callsign. (It can be any eight characters, not just an Amateur Radio callsign). Go to the Radio connections and delete/disable any connections you find there. Create a new one called Local, type = network, Host address = 127.0.0.1, port 9000. This will allow anyone at the computer to monitor the Ratflector directly. In addition, it can be used as a Mailbox and file server.

I think the newest build (for windows anyway) is? would be nice if the development was put somewhere it can be actively worked again. ? |
