Ok, I? am by no means an expert here, so someone who knows more than me feel free to jump in!?? I think the error here is in the last string - ?“DRATS_POP3Server instance has no attribute”.

?

I had typed a long reply telling you what I would do to try to troubleshoot this, and then I reproduced your problem! ?Problem is I don’t know exactly how I did it!?

?

I can tell you if I go to File/Preferences/Messages and uncheck the POP3 Server box at the bottom of the screen and hit Save I get the same message you saw.?? But, if I quit and restart I don’t get the message.? I can recheck that box and save and I don’t get the error.? But, if I uncheck it again and save I get the error.

?

Maybe take a look at that box to see how it is set and toggle it and save.

?

Wish I knew more.? D-RATS is a great app, but the error handling leaves something to be desired.

Setting up D-Rats on a Windows Tablet

 

I am in the process of setting up an RCA Cambio two-in-one tablet computer running Windows 10 32-bit for use with my ID-5100 mobile unit so I might be able to operate D-star and D-rats through it for Emcomm in the future. ?Each time I add a radio connection or do some other settings tweaking and go to save, I keep getting error messages. ?At this point I am telling it to ignore the error and everything seems to be working, but it is disconcerting since I want it to operate properly if I need to use it. ?


I will be pairing this setup with a Karma myfi and hope to be able to put together a DVmega or DVap setup in the near future. ?Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I would like to announce a new Ratflector. I put one on for my club, and will it be the platform where I connect two radios in order to make RF access available to mobile users. Add k3pdr.dstargateway.org, port 9000 to your radio connections. Call it PDRA (Philadelphia Digital Radio Association). Out club net is on Monday nights at 8:00PM eastern time. Voice is on REF020A and Net Control also takes check-ins via D-RATS.

Try installing version 0.3.3. Then re-install the daily if you have to. I recently installed Lubuntu on a machine and got a similar error after installing the daily. I installed 0.3.3 from the repository and it loaded some necessary files. I started D-RATS and it showed the daily build version number on restart.

I think I remember you saying you know how to code in HTML. If that's true, could you take a whack at making a style sheet for the skywarn.xml template in the files section?

Try the following:

sudo?apt-get install python-libxslt1

I've used D-RATS on Debian and noticed that it doesn't have the right dependencies listed; It's probably similar on Ubuntu.

Hi Ralph,
I don't have an answer for you about the clock, but I can help you with the second item.


How to cure Ratflector fatigue:

1. Open the Config window (ALT+P).
2. Go to Appearance and type \[QST\] on the Ignore RegEx line.
3. Go to Chat and clear the "Show status updates in chat" check box.
4. Click Save to close the Config window.
5. On the Chat tab, click Add Filter on the toolbar and type [QST], click OK.
6. Enjoy using D-RATS.

I have access to the source tree. Someone indicated a while back that they had a patch or fix for this.?If someone has a patch, send it to me and we can see about getting a new daily build pushed out. I have a few minor things I've tweaked as well, like adding support files to auto start d_rats-reflector as a service on Fedora Linux.

My work-around for that is to send a QST containing a GPS report every ten minutes. It keeps your connection alive, keeps your callsign on the station list, and doesn't print in the chat screen. Please help reduce Ratflector pollution.

I am pleased to announce that the Philadelphia Digital Radio Association (PDRA) now has a club Ratflector. It is co-located with the K3PDR repeater. The network address is k3pdr.dstargateway.org port 9000. We are also experimenting with RF access to this Ratflector. If you are in Eastern Montgomery County or Northeast Philadelphia, you can connect via D-STAR radio on 440.9375 simplex, or with a KISS TNC or AGWPE soundcard on 145.59 simplex. It has limited range, but improvements are coming. Our club net takes place on Monday nights at 8PM ET (0100 UTC Tuesdays) on the K3PDR B and C repeaters and REF020A. Net control also takes check-ins via D-RATS. All are welcome to join in. I hope to see you there.
