I finally figured out all of the problems I was having with version 0.3.9 beta 2.? First, the problem with the openweathermap.org loading properly.? As received, the URL was given as??.? On the email issue, the new installation was trying to download the entire email database at one time instead of just the new unread messages.? It thought everything was new and balked on seeing too many.? I had to go in and create a new empty account and set the access to allow the less secure app to access the account.? After that, I tested it with several incoming and outgoing emails and everything worked fine.? I could not go in and clean out the original account because I was receiving other items in there as the Asst. Emergency Coordinator for our Parish (elsewhere known as a County).? It would have been too much of a hassle with hurricane season already here to get everyone to contact me at another email address.
I also managed to get the spell checker loaded with the Path set properly and that is now working.? It is probably best not to have the Gmail account assigned to D-rats to have too much stuff going into it.? I can see that it is going to need to be kept clean a bit better than I had mine in order for it to function properly.? I have been running D-rats for about 6 years now.? Glad to have everything running again.

Not a fan of Kapersky.? Might want to look into it, but hopefully it’ll let you use D-Rats now.

Well not sure I've solved my antivirus problem or not but, here is my up-date. Uninstalled AVG installed Kaspersky. Let it do it's thing, nothing found. Installed D-Rats 3.9 beta 1 and have been able to open and close it multiple times, closing was when AVG would find the virus and shut me out of D-Rats.?
So far so good but guess time will tell!!

Hi. I cannot really help here as my younger daucghter stolen the only macbook I had from my desk (daddy you don’t need this – she said…) and it’s impossible to have it back. ? I learned from forums and? facebook that older mac have nicer chances to run d-rats as the more recent macos don’t support anymore gtk or python2 or something like this. If I am not mistaken on github there was a guy listing a procedure to execute on a mac the -rats from its code. ? Otherwise I guess you can try to run the windows version of latest d-rats in parallels or any other virtualized env on mac… but it’s a guess. ? Ps -If you discover how to do it. Pls post the info here ?

Hi Randy ? To my knowledge the request “all positions” works under 2 conditions: ? - stations shall be connected via radio or a ratflector different from the standard RAT as that has some issue in forwarding positions when requested (I don’t know why, maybe it’s an older version or has some local config?) ? - the drats version of the remote station shall be equal or greater than 0.3.6 – older versions have a bug and do not reply with the position but only with a short acknowledge message ? When developing the fix to reply position I was executing locally a ratflector (it’s code remained pretty much unchanged since v0.3.3 ) and it that was forwarding the positions correctly without the need of any particular config. ? Yes...I saw you too Luis.? It seems that the K3DPR reflector does

all stations...expanded the tree...I am the only station listed.?
Even though I see lots of other stations listed on the main

Thanks, Patrick for that information. If I understand it correctly both DRats and direwolf will need to be running on the Raspberry Pi. I will have to experiment with getting DRats to run on the Pi.?
In my current set up Direwolf is running on the Raspberry Pi and Drats is running on my Windows box. I have used AGWPE to link via Ip to Direwolf, but AGWPE does not allow the selection of a single port from a multi-port device. As a result I get both winlink packet traffic and APRS traffic on Drats. Port selection on AGWPE or Kiss IP would be a big help.

Look at section 5.8 of the Direwolf User's Guide. It tells you how to set up a virtual serial KISS TNC. D-RATS can then connect to this virtual com port. In D-RATS preferences>radio and create a TNC connection to the virtual com port created by Direwolf. *A bug in the D-RATS software incorrectly creates the TNC connection. Here is the simple fix: Edit the serial port by removing <type 'type'> and replacing it with tnc. The final result should be tnc:COM1:0.?

Hi Glen ? The gtk errors in the log are expected and do not impact on d-rats execution. ? About the weather QST, does the maps works for you? Asking as I have seen the same SSL error you highlight when trying to use maps launching d-rats from the virtualbox where I compile d-rats for windows which in my case has some untuned NAT to connect to internet. The error in my case goes away if I move d-rats to my “normal” PC. ? So…? Do you use any proxy to connect to internet? ? For your issue on gmail I honestly don’t know, was it working in the former D-rats versions before 0.3.8? ? Ciao maurizio ? ?
