Re: RF D RATS Using ID-880H Mobile
开云体育If you're handy with a soldering iron, these FTDI USB to RS-232 "wire end" cables work well: The cable is a USB plug / converter at one end and "bare wires" at the other end. You will need to solder on a connector that fits your rig, in most cases a 2.5mm stereo plug (that's where the soldering iron come in). Connect the Orange wire to the tip, the yellow wire to the middle sleeve and the black wire to the base. You don't need to connect the other wires. Pick your 2.5mm plug carefully, most of the ICOM rigs require a pretty narrow backshell on the plug. I've been known to leave the plug off and just cover the connections with heat shrink tubing. The cables are about $23 from Mouser Electronics. They work well, I've made several. The cable from RT systems that John suggested also works well. It may cost a little more, but no soldering would be required. Mike, N0SO On Oct 8, 2014, at 1:59 PM, radioman91@... [d-rats_group] <d-rats_group@...> wrote:

开云体育John,I am pretty sure that ICOM sells a USB version of the OPC-1529. ?It isn't cheap. Connecting D-RATS Repeater to ircDDBGateway
Hi,
May I ask if anyone here has been successful connecting D-RATS Repeater to a ircDDBGateway port? I try to connect it to 127.0.0.1:20011. This port is connected to DCS010R. I can see the traffic on xreflector.net, but the traffic from the R module doesn't seem to be heard back via the Repeater. Any ideas? SM0RUX Pontus |

Re: D-RATS via DCS?
Hi John,
Thank you for your reply! Use D-RATS Repeater to connect to my ircDDBGateway hotspot. I can see the hotspot module on the DCS server when I transmitt, but the traffic coming from the DCS is not coming to my D-RATS Repeater. The traffic from the radio port is working 100%. Any ideas? Pontus |
