Cell phone speaker element use

 

Most cell phone speakers sound pretty good for their size. Does anyone have any experience using a speaker out of a defunct cellphone for projects?

As far as I know, the cell phone speaker unit should be driven by an optimized amplifier to generate louder sound and it should have a chamber to give better bass.
