Re: ADX-S mod for use with trusdx-audio

If ROM size is okay, it is better to support both. We can automatically switch to trusdx audio when we use CAT.

Thanks,
Adam

Both use cases are valid.? I intend on making that mod to my V1 at some point.? Once I do that, then will order a V2 as well.? I have been tied up with medical issues for the last several weeks.? That and watching X flare after X flare!? :(

I was president of my college radio club for 2 years (1990-1992), W9NAA, as well.? That club has been established for a very long time though.? When I was in college it was at the peak of the cycle and an almost hour long ragchew with JY1 on 10m SSB on a random early Wednesday afternoon from the club station was one of the highlights of ham radio in college.? We'll, that and the Dayton Hamvention road trip adventures we had from Indiana... Ah, the good old days when I was young!

Hi JE1RAV,

Just checked your GitHub page, and I agree that it can co-exist with the Bluetooth module from the hardware perspective. However, different configuration needs different firmware, as the audio input comes from different ways.

Thanks,

Adam

Dear Adam,

I think it can coexist, but I can not test it.

We started a club station BY6DX in 2002 with a dipole and a Yaesu FT-757. Now it is still quite actively operated by young members.

ADX-S V2!

开云体育

Guys,

Please treat this message as the formal announcement to the worldwide. ADX-S V2 is now ready to take big volume orders. Actually I already shipped a big box to a builders' group in Europe earlier today.

I live near a big park in Shanghai and I operate ADX-S a lot in the park. With the popularity of FT8CN and iFTx Apps, I realized that I must design for the mobile devices for field digital modes operation. That's why I have added features like TCXO, Audio Cable Adapter and Bluetooth Module.

RX modifications are incorporated in the V2 hardware so you can easily toggle ATT while you are suffering from strong BCI.

Band module automatic detection and TCXO addition make the setup and alignment much easier. In most of the occasions, you can save the frequency calibration and band setting.

Hate toroids winding like me? Now you just need to wind 11 toroids instead of 21 to support 7 bands.

Hate desoldering the Arduino Nano module? Low profile sockets are provided in the kit so you can easily replace if necessary, and meanwhile keep the total height to fit in the original plastic box.

Photos? They look the same as the ADX-S. Only difference is the main board.

The price is 89 USD including tracked air shipping. Please place order through the web store at:

The assembly manual, schematic, part list, source code, and firmware update tools are now available for download from:

/g/crkits/files/ADX-S/V2

You are welcome to spread the word to your local group or club. Third party review videos will be available soon and I will let you know the link.

Thanks,

Adam

Yes. If reversed, the LED should be solid on no matter what bias is chosen by the jumper.

BS170 simple tester

Guys,

Made a simple tester for BS170 as you may find two different pin out in the market. We already know 2N7000 has reversed pin out with BS170.

Can I upgrade ADX-S V1 to V2?

Folks,

Someone asked me this question. The answer is yes and no. If your V1 kit is not yet assembled, it is pretty easy to obtain an upgrade kit from CRKITS.COM and do the upgrade, as most of the V1 parts can be shared. You can keep 7 band filters with minor rework.

If your V1 is already assembled, it is not easy to fully upgrade to V2. The most difficult part is the band auto detection. However, you still can upgrade TCXO, Audio Cable Adapter kit, and Bluetooth module if you wish.

If you are interested, please let me know.

If you have no idea about V1 and V2 yet, please visit:

Thanks,

Adam
