Good morning Kurt. My name is John and my call is K2JHU.? Congratulations on your 1st contact. I am in the process of building my D4D DBS. I have completed up to stage 4, the RX audio amplifier. However this test did not go as expected.? When I touch pin 1 of the NE602 I don't hear anything. It might?be the impedance of the earphones I used are way off but not sure. Just wondering what you found at this stage.

Re: K7QO closed his qrp-tech group
Hello Adam
I don't care about legal aspects and never discussed them. In any case, rules vary from one country to another. So it can become a huge discussion. US is only one country among many, though for sure, a large and important ham population.?
I'm sure you know, my view on DSB in Digital modes is, I am not a fan of it. In my opinion it's neither necessary, not desriable, nor valuable. It's only my opinion, others have a different view, which is fine and normal.?
But still, the discussion on qrp-tech was, I thought, civilized... not about any particular product (yours or QRP Guys' product) just about technical advantages and disadvantages. So I don't see why it would have upset anyone or made anyone want to close the group. Surely the group was intended for technical discussions.?

Design is sort of balance and I designed it only around 1-watt trying to find the balance. Also I would like to mention the LSB spectrum is for PSK31 and the SNR to decode is much higher than FT8, so largely it is not causing problems unless the DSB radio is nearby. ? Hi Adam

This is a little tricky to explain, so hopefully this makes sense.
First, twist the pair of wires together as per the instructions. You'll have a red wire and gold wire at either end of the twisted pair. After you wind the toroid, you will connect the gold wire on one end to the red wire on the other end. (Leave a short section untwisted at either end to facilitate this.)
So, go ahead and wind the coil. When you are finished, all of the loose ends should be fairly close together on the toroid. Take the red wire from the start of the twisted pair, and the gold wire from the end of it. Now, twist those two together.
You will be left with one red strand, one gold strand, and one strand of red and gold twisted together. These are the three legs of your completed toroid, ready to be soldered into the board.
Yes that is what I needed. Would you happen to have the procedure for winding T1. I know about the twisted pair and the other wire but not sure how they are wound together. Thank you for your help.
