Gang,

The VOX circuit is very simple one like this:

I changed 47k to 10k to shorten the hold time.

Here is how I modified my radio (actually it is a crystal controlled FT8 radio but you can do the same for your CS radio as long as you change the mode to Upper Sided Band).

Gang,

I built this transceiver last weekend. It is a VOX controlled simple DSB transceiver for 14.074 MHz using crystal. It puts 500 mW and the QSO test with my TS-590S seems promising. See the photos. Just share with you guys. No plan for a kit.

If you receive CW, you will need to oscillate a bit off to give you right tone pitch. In my case, I used 39 and 68 to give 700 Hz lower than 7010 crystal with 20 pF load capacitor.

I visited Windcamp studio last weekend. The owner makes nice looking antennas and battery packs as well as accessories for FT817/818 and KX3. His studio is much bigger than mine. I like his newly bought JBL speakers. His main dealers are located in EU and NA. His business is going very well over the years.

I have a CRK10-A (for 40 meters) that I made 150+ QSO’s on.? I haven’t used it much in the past year or so because I got into building radios and now have a dozen pieces of QRP gear (I like QRP a lot).

My radio was also built by Larry:? he added actual crystal sockets to mine, so I could explore other frequencies.? (You do have to open up the radio to change the crystals).?

Right now the radio has a crystal set installed for 7.033 MHz, and if you want it I will include a second set of crystals for another frequency.
