Crestron is aware of the symlib.tio error which has been around for several months now. Pretty sure it affects all windows versions. For me it happens on Win7 and simply closing Simpl and re-opening makes it go away.

Subject: [Crestron] Windows 10 indexing error?
I am getting a weird intermittent error in Simpl, it happens ¡®sometimes¡¯ when opening a module (i haven¡¯t seen it when opening a .smw) or re-synching a program. An error message appears saying ¡°Couldn¡¯t open file : c:\Program Files (x86)\Crestron\CresDB\Programming\symlib.tio - Be sure that the system indexing service is is disabled for SIMPL working directory ¡°smpwinWK¡±¡±
To remove any uncertainty, I have completely disabled the indexing service in Windows 10 but am still seeing this, so it clearly has nothing to do with that. I have removed, rebooted and reinstalled SIMPL, but it hasn¡¯t helped. I have also tried running SIMPL (and Toolbox) in compatibility mode with Windows 8, to no avail. I am not saving anything to a Dropbox or SpiderOak monitored directory¡¡.
Does anyone have any idea what might going on?
