TSW Flash

Has anyone successfully copied a boot flash?image on a TSW panel for use on an identical model that has a failed mico SD? For example a 4Gb on a TSW-752.
What utilty did you use? Windows or Linux?

I've done it before when I had a batch of over 60 TSW552s where the SD cards failed. I used a tool call HDDRawcopy. and started with the card out of a freshly reset/initialised panel and it worked a treat.

That's cool idea. We've had frequent failures of TPMC-4SM's years ago, and I was told that we need to send them in even for card replacement. They were not willing to send us SD cards just to pop them in. I thought about copying it, but never tried.

Win32 Disk imager works great

My experience as well - Win32 Disk imager under Win7 seems to do the job, even with SDHC cards (if your SD card reader cooperates).
You might have some issues with MAC addresses however (I think this has been covered here, search around).

RE: the MAC address, I believe you can open the disk image in a hex editor and search for the mac address sequence of the "donor", and replace it with the mac address of the "target" device.?

I have changed 1050s/750s into 1052s/752s by writing an image I was able to pull from a xx52 panel and using Win32 Disk Imager. Ive done like 5 or 6 and never had to do anything with a mac address.?
