TSW-750- Is there a way to Reboot in SIMPL.
I have a TSW-750 that has had some weird issues now and then. Most of the time it works fine but occasionally the Remote View for my Camera's stops functioning it just shows a black screen. Other times it will say it is online and will display the volumes of the AAE or other feedback but you are unable to change them and button presses don't register in Debug.
Either situation is quickly remedied with a reboot through toolbox? Is there any way to trigger that through simpl? Then I could make it so holding down home for 10 seconds forced a reboot or something like that? Thanks John. |
Use a TCP/IP client to telnet to it, and then execute "reboot y\x0D" On Mon, May 11, 2020 at 3:48 PM John Beasley <john@...> wrote: I have a TSW-750 that has had some weird issues now and then. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýAlthough depending on how wonky it¡¯s gotten you might need to initiate the reboot from somewhere else (e.g. if it¡¯s not registering presses on volume buttons it¡¯s just as not likely to register the press and hold on the home button). ? Of course obligatory ¡°you should really fix the root cause rather than the symptom¡± but if it¡¯s your personal system I know how issues can be allowed to linger far longer than with a client and sometimes we inherit ¡°special¡± hardware J ? If rebooting it via Toolbox works Phil¡¯s suggestion is probably the easiest. ? Otherwise if it was connected to a managed switch you could reboot it by turning off PoE and turning PoE back on which would allow recovery even if the panel were so locked up you couldn¡¯t connect to it. For Cisco switches, for example, it is as easy as ? Enable (enable PW) Conf t Int (interface ID for the port, e.g. gi3/0/23) Shut No Shut End ? ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ?
