SystemBuilder & DM

Systembuilder will control the switching funstions of DM just fine. The main feature it wont support is using the IR/Relays/RS232 on the room boxes.

Hi guys,

First non-Prodigy system coming up. It's an Adagio with a 8x8 DM switcher. Not being comfortable with SIMPL yet, I'm gonna have to use SB to program it. My question is regarding video switching. That was easy with Prodigy as there's a way to assign sources and TVs. But I can't find anything similar for Adagio. Is there something I'm missing?

As you guys can see, I'm still a noob! Thanks for the help.

Thanks for your answer. But how do I setup the switching itself? Where do I
tell SB which TV is on which output and which source is on which input? I
may be blind, but I can't find that! When I programmed Prodigy, there was a
switching tab that I used. I can't find anything similar with Adagio.

Thanks.

There is no wizard style switching tab. You must do all the programming from the programming view withing SB.

So lets say you want to switch Output 1 to input 3. Highlight the object you want to program (e.g. button, global preset etc) then in the device tree of the programming view select the DM switch then select the output you want to effect then type in 3d for the input. Meaning input 3 (or 3d...same thing) will be routed to output 1.
