Swamp 8 added to Swamp24

[email protected] All Messages By This Member #254496 I am doing a system take over for a old system that was designed using system builder.? I have the original file and have made a few small changes so I know I can push the file and not break everything.? The Swamp 8 died so I found one on ebay to replace it. My question is, how did the swamp 8 talk to the swamp 24? Only the swampe 24 is listed in the project.? I can connect to the swampe 24 and get to its page where I see it is not communicating with the swamp 8 anymore. I am just trying to wrap my head around this before I go back to replace the amp.?

[email protected] All Messages By This Member #254498 yes, but do I need to do anything with programming or does it automatically when I connect the new Swamp 8 to the existing 24.? I did not see any way to assign an IPID to the 8.?
ckangis All Messages By This Member #254509 If the SWAMPE-8 was already in the program, you can swap the unit out. just make sure that it is connected to the same port on the SWAMP24x8. It's the specific port (1,2,3, etc.) that determines the 'ID' of the expander. you might want to power down and start all together to get a nice fresh start. The IPID is only for the 24x8
