Sony UHD BluRay Player looking RS232 protocol

Has anyone successfully controlled this unit?? I know I have it wired correctly and the correct baud rate, I've tried the sony 400 disc module (doesn't work).? Currently I've been on hold with Sony dealer tech support waiting for an hour.? I'm either looking for the protocol to write my own module or a module already written.

What's the model number?

I have an IP module for the UBPX1000ES.? I don't have any other models to test it on, but I'd bet that it works across the entire line.

I'll post it in the files section.

It's named Sony UBP-X1000ES IP.zip.

Michael

The UBPX1000ES is the model number.? Michael, THANKS!!!

What port does this use for communication?? My Sony rep sent me the module LOL.? But I can't seem to find a help file

TCP 33336

It uses TCP 33336

Anyone tested against a UBP-X800?? Is there anything in the menu that need to be turned on?

Did anyone ever get this to work on the UBP-X800, I just get a connection failed on the tcp/ip client status, port set to 33336

I got it work but only when the blue ray player X1000es is turned on. For some reason even though I set the Blu-ray player to network standby on so that the lan port can stay powered even when the unit is switched off, I was only able to connect to it and control after the Blu-ray player was physically turned on.?
?When the Blu-ray player is turned off or goes into standby the connection with the tcp/ip client is disconnected and it doesn’t connect.?

Kind regards?

I just loaded Michael's (Port City Sound) Sony UBP-X1000ES IP.zip module from our files section and power on is working just fine.? I'm testing with a UBP-X1000ES.

I reached out to Sony after I tested the UBP-X1000ES to see what other units are IP control enabled and they said this:

?

The 1000ES is the only official unit that has IP control.? C4 uses extra vegetables to controls the other ones using a work around that is not approved or supported by us.

anyone know what the work around is?

What IP port is used to communicate?

Port is 33336d.? Like Heather, I'm using the?Sony UBP-X1000ES IP module to control 3 players in a project and it works fine.? In this particular project, I would know about it if it stopped working at any point.
