the client has 2 amps with subs i.e. Front/Rear (this is in an RV)
i have grouped them and used the group controls in the module - works OK (volume doesn't display properly)

he has a TV with an optical cable to a Sonos playbar (just for the TV)
in the app he selects TV as the source (is there any way i can do that?)
if we select a multi-channel source (Netflix) we get sound out of all the speakers, but i can't control the volume/mute from Crestron
if we select a 2-channel source we have a sync problem with the audio from the sound bar & the other speakers

If the soundbar is only being used for TV sound then just control it via IR.? I don't think there isn't any way to select the optical input from Crestron, anyways.

Can can swap to tv input through an HTTP post. It is not part of the standard crestron module.

I have this setup and rarely directly control the playbar. The TV remote buttons control the Sonos volume and as soon as TV audio is needed the playbar switches itself.

I'd simplify the setup and concentrate on the TV. The playbar should just work.?

You can set the playbar up to be controlled with the TV IR commands.

If needed the native IR codes for playbar volume and selecting the optical input are on the Sonos website in NEC and Pronto formats:?

You can create a driver with the pronto codes and they work great.

On some jobs that the TV is IR controlled we just split the IR and put an emitter on the TV and one on the playbar and as long as the Playbar has learned the TV remote the same commands can go to both. Sometimes if the TV has a variable optical audio out (Sony) we set the Playbar to fixed volume and then just controlling the TV volume will then suffice (since you no longer have to ramp the Playbar).
