I have a small residential project that I started when I was working in higher ed and had some extra time.
The project is finished, and as a summary involved recreating a house system with small multizone audio system,
basic lighting control, 5 HVAC zones, gate control, 3 analog security cameras, 6 touchpanels. The original system had security system
control (Advent). That was not added to recreated system. The old system was damaged when the empty house pipes froze
and sprayed all over the equipment rack. The customer wanted to recreate the system on the cheap and purchased equipment
off eBay. This was my first foray into the resi world, and I created a crosspoint based program which involved alot of time I did not
recoup cost for, in the interest of creating a program I could build on for future resi work.?
Fast forward to now, and I am working in the commercial market and putting in more hours, and don't want to do side work at this point.
The customer is looking for ongoing system support, possible system upgrades, with the possibility of other larger jobs- he is a sales person

Do you need just programming work that can be done remotely or a physical presence with installation and programming?

You would be taking over support of the system, so physical presence would be required at least initially.
I want to wash my hands of it ,as my full time day job and being a grandpa are enough to take up all my time.
