MNET GW - RFCHANNEL

Heath Volmer

Does anyone know, with certainty, whether issuing the RFCHANNEL command on an MNET gateway will do the change "safely", keeping the attached devices acquired?

I need to know whether I'll be for-sure heading out there to reacquire the house or if I can do it remotely.

Thanks

Using Toolbox's Text Console with an indirect connection to the
gateway, RFCHANNEL can be safely changed with no loss of devices.

Had a moment of doubt just now when confirming this, as none of the
keypads worked... back to normal when I closed the console window.

It worked, although the channel change did not fix my problem. ?

What's the problem? I have been struggling with rough MeshNet system for a while and I might be able to at least give you a reason for the issue.?

The problem is a busted dimmer that recently started going on/off line. ?It's a ~6-year-old system, changed ID, changed channel, relocated dimmer to another location. ?Sent it in for "repair". ?Again sent it in to be told "no problem found." ?Ordered a replacement.

??

Ah seems like it. ?The job I have has huge RF reflection issues but units dropping offline is not one of the problems, missing button hits is my problem. ?Let me know how it goes
