Incremental FW Update?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?I would probably go to 1.0.12.0017, then to the latest 1.601 ? From: <[email protected]> on behalf of "Kyle Goyer via groups.io" <Kyle.goyer@...> ? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSo far, I haven't had issues upgrading firmware on Series3 processors.?? However, if you had a really ancient firmware, I would upgrade to firmware v1.007.0019 as that is when you can use Filezilla to push firmware.? After that, use Filezilla to push firmware to the \FIRMWARE folder on the processor (delete any old version in the folder).? Then open a text console and execute "puf".? I generally like doing the console window via USB so I can see how the firmware update proceeds.? Give it time (up to about 30 minutes).? But it is a lot faster than the old method of using Toolbox. On 4/9/20 7:18 PM, Kyle Goyer via

Yea I always do FTP then 'Puf' whenever possible. ?Made the mistake of a battery dying on my laptop while doing a direct update using the puf tool one time... Learned a lesson hard and fast there..
Also due to current coronapocalypse I cant actually travel to this job site so doing things over VPN. ?Defiantly not going to try and run a puf tool on VPN. Thanks! --Kyle |
Kyle,
I think you have to get it up to at least v1.10.60 first to be able to FTP, then it's recommended to go to v1.12.17.? ?From there you should be able to make the jump to hyperspace... Me personally, I recommend staying on the 1.504 version, unless the 1.60x is absolutely necessary (I still don't trust them...) |
Can't stay on 1.504 unless you want to keep your device database old on your computer - the latest couple device databases break simpl+ modules completely when loaded to processors with older firmware. On Sat., Apr. 11, 2020, 11:57 a.m. ckangis, <chris@...> wrote: Kyle, |
