Importing CEDs

What is this madness? So, as I build my program in VT and work in SIMPL concurrently, why can't I just go to import CED and reimport the whole batch again? It double imports ones that already exist and haven't been changed. I thought when I did this before when it was still called Core3, when I imported CEDs that already existed with no changes, it just updated or ignored them.

Do I need to move my signals to the new import every time?

You only need to re-import .ced files if the properties of the object in VTPro have changed (Smart Join ID, # of items in a list, etc)

I was finding it easier to select the whole batch of CEDs instead of trying to identify which ones changed or are new since the last time I imported. It should replace or ignore duplicate Smart IDs.?

I haven't decided yet whether SmartObjects are actually smart (or useful).?

You're not the only one.? I'm trying really hard to fathom why taking all my associated joins for a device - which used to be in one section of a touch panel's symbol - are now spread between that touch panel symbol AND one, two, or more ADDITIONAL locations...

And if you delete the CED files to clean up your directory, all your smart object extenders magically turn into dumb object extenders.
