Can anyone speak about the behavior of this keypad. ?Specifically when plugged in. ?Is it on and ready to go instantly like it needs to be? ?I'm talking about "100%".

I have several MNET versions of these in a project and they often drop offline for many seconds when the homeowner first presses them. ?Not cool. ?I would like to replace them if the EX version is better. ?I have a bit of EX stuff around this huge house which will help the signal flow also.

And apparently it isn't shipping so I don't suppose that any of you will have any experience!! ?I swore it was.

Disregard the tall man...

I have used the traditional Infinet version on my night stands at home for years as well as on many installations. The response time is pretty instant. If I try to dim the lamp from being off while the keypad is asleep, it takes less than a second to respond and once it does it then works instantly.

I have found that the direction of the antenna has a significant effect on the ?signal strength and responsiveness.?

I had one that was slow with the antenna in the attic?. Without changing the location of the gateway or bedroom, I simply pointed it towards the room and it worked perfectly.

If aiming the antenna doesn't work, I'd hook it up as close to the room as you can as a test to see if it's a signal issue.

You may also want to check that your channels for this, EX, and WIFI are balanced.

These keypads are one of my favorite parts of my system and a few second ?delay would drive me nuts. I'm sure they can be made to work quickly.

They normally do work quickly, but every now and then they go into "full-blink" mode for 15-60 seconds as the reacquaint themselves with the job they are supposed to be doing.

Wifi, EX are all carefully staggered around this project. I've move the gateway several times. When they're on, they're on, but occasionally...

Thanks, Heath
