It usually just needs to be brought out of sleep and after a few seconds it will sync up.
I have had MLXs that would not load a project over EX. Toolbox would send it, and it would never update. I had to use USB.

But that was a long time ago. It was not loading the new program even tho it was on the gateway and I remember there was some undocumented way to make it load.
