Graphs

Has anyone written or would know how to write a module or software combination for producing nice graphs on a touch panel/xpanel etc? I have various data points through bacnet/Modbus which took a while to master but have the data in analogue format, I am using edatalogger and was hoping to simply export to excel but it looks crap! I know the new fusion software does this but I don't have a server or the time to even think about playing with that at this stage. Any help would be really appreciated and paid for.

thank you

Google Charts API is one option. Otherwise you're into custom Core3
control territory.

To my knowledge there is not a way to plot graphs on a touch panel with simpl+ like you would in another language. I think that's where you are going with this, correct me if I'm wrong. You will need to build the graphics in VTPro and drive them with your analogs. You might have to do some math to get it to look right but you can definitely make something that looks good. For example at my old company we were working with some energy management software and we were able to parse a data stream from them and show real-time data for energy consumption. We used VTPro bar-graphs and gauges to show all the information after we did a little conversion.

Thought it was not easy, yes its like energy management with temperature data but also light, soil moisture and so on. I have a very crude module that kind of works but looks rubbish compared to a nice graph, the Google stuff is probably way over my head!

Give it a look - it's not all that difficult.

I think I used to have some modules in the file section for various Google chart things - don't know if they've gotten purged or not.

Hey, Chip. Those modules are gone. Any chance you'd be willing to repost them? Thanks.

As long as I still have them - just a matter of finding them. I'll try to remember to look for them when I get home tonight...
