Anyone has any updates on the release of the drivers to work with Crestron?

if we don’t have a driver, would it still be possible to programme our system??

Anyone has some samples to share? I really don’t know where to start.?

Anyone knows where to get hold of the DSC driver? I seem to have an old RS232 (based on COM port) driver from DSC v1.0, but I do not have the latest Ethernet 2.0 or 2.1 driver.?

Furthermore, the package in the??does not contain any drivers nor module. It only has these few illogical files:

Wonder what's the purpose of these files? I'm really lost now. Please help!!!

I did what you have said, it shows the DSC drivers, yet the content of the zip file, like I've said, does not contain any drivers nor module.

It just had some senseless files in the package:

Did I miss out something obvious with the above files? Perhaps I need to rename the extension of the above files? Any other help is much appreciated!?

After CAREFULLY reading all the information in those pages, post again with follow-up questions, or consider contacting Tech Support.

I read through and looked through the links carefully, there's nothing I could not understand.

Control of third party products is often achieved by using/creating User Modules or Crestron Certified Drivers. These can be SIMPL modules (.umc), SIMPL+ modules (.usp), SIMPL# (.clz), or a combination of these file types.

The package contains no SIMPL nor driver modules at all, unlike the examples you have posted, all of them have at least a SMW file. This package file is obviously a dud.?

I have written to Crestron tech support, not sure if they'll reply, I hope they will.?

in full disclosure, I have never dealt with the CCD elements, but my download zip file does contain a .PKG file.

I understand the downloaded zip file contains a .PKG file, renaming this .PKG file to .ZIP and use an unzipping program, you can see the contents being just these few files:

In Crestron-land things that end .pkg are a Crestron Certified Driver.? That could be either an IR file for Crestron Home, or a driver bundle like the one you're looking at.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned - I haven't read back through the whole thread...
To use the driver in SIMPL Windows you have to copy the .pkg file onto your Crestron Home processor and then use the SIMPL "Crestron Certified Drivers Security System Ethernet|Serial v2.0 (cm)" module to load the driver and communicate with it.? That module is a generic wrapper for all security drivers, so you only get functions that the generic wrapper exposes.

You don't need to unzip the .pkg - just point the wrapper at the file (serial join) and trigger "Load Driver".? Follow any docs that come with the driver as there may be User Attributes that need setting up,

That article walks through how you upload the .pkg file to the \user\ folder on the processor, and then specify the filepath to the .pkg in the DriverFile$ serial input string on the module. When LoadDriver is pulsed on the module it will handle unzipping the .pkg file on the processor behind the scenes. You only need to unzip the .pkg and inspect the .dat/.dll files in Notepad++ if UserAttributes need to be populated on the module. It's all in the article - just make sure you work through it carefully step-by-step.

I wrote to Crestron True Blue support, they gave me a detailed explanation and solution with screen shots. I'm happy to share it here but I have no way to upload photos and screenshots.?

1. Is there a non-CCD module (traditional SMW-style module) for the NEO series???
2. If not, will this PKG work on 3-series?? Dave H's initial comments seemed to indicate that it will only 4-series...

I finally have a client interested in implementing this, in a Simpl program.? After reviewing the .dat file, I can't believe the CCD driver only appears to support Arming Away, Arming Stay, and Disarm.??

According to the .dat, which I'm hoping is wrong, it does NOT support Keypad Emulation (or any code entry), Serial output for current status, Zone status, or any other common features you'd expect with alarm integration.

It will be a few hours before I can actually connect to a real system and confirm this, but I was hoping someone else has actually done it and can tell me what to expect?

I haven't been back to that site, and I think the dealer and homeowner have abandoned alarm integration for now.

Crestron has put the driver back on the CCD site, but I don't have any upcoming projects that will need it, and don't have a panel available to test. When I reviewed the dat file, it didn't seem to support keypad emulation or discrete zone status. Hopefully I missed something :-)

Wow!! that's really ridiculous...
At least with the old ways of a standard SMW module, you could see the basic feature set by looking at the I/Os. Of course they may not work right, but you'd at least get a sense of what was intended as a feature set...
Is there no help files with these CCDs that give a view into what its capabilities are for a specific product without going thru the suffering of unpacking loading and testing the thing???
