Debugger and 4-series

Is it just the site I'm working with or is Debugger noticeably slower/More sluggish (Iknow, I know...) with 4-series. I'm running a CP4 with v2.6 FW

I haven’t personally noticed it being slower but I have run into problems with the debugger losing its connection with the control system

There is an automatic disconnect after 20 minutes.? I saw a console command to adjust the time out but I can’t remember it right now.? I think setting it to 0 would make it never disco.

Thanks.? Good to know.

However, I’ve seen some ?disconnects much faster than 20 minutes?

I just noticed that the header for this topic mentions 4-Series, so this might not apply exactly.

I had this “debugger time out” concern when working with my CP3 on my test bench. TB pointed me to this area to make the adjustment:

Open Toolbox, then Device Discovery, connect to the processor, select the FUNCTIONS button, select Authentication, then select Authentication Options. There is a box on that page to specify the “Default User Idle Time”; set as desired or select NO IDLE LIMIT (my choice).

Please advise if this helps or applies to the ?4 series ,as I have not used one of those so far.

The console command you are looking for is:

SETLogoffidletime 0

Haven't tried it with SIMPL debugger yet.? However, a few days ago, I was ssh into a CP4 all day (no Crestron software involve) and had no disconnects.? Before I issued the above command via an SSH connection, the CP4 was constantly disconnecting.

YMMV,
Steve

Thanks Steve.?

I just checked my CP4 and when I type in the console command the response is:

Logoff Idle Time (minutes): infinite

PRO4>SETLogoffidletime 0
Logoff Idle Time CHANGED: infinite

Thats what my PRO4 also responded with. My PRO3 didn't give any response when the same command was sent.
