Hello guys, I hope you're keeping safe during these tough times.

So I'm thinking about the possibilty of relocating to the EU.

What's Crestron's presence over there? is it widely used? or does it somewhat play a secondary role to other technologies? such as KNX and its derivatives?

Any information I can get would be greatly appreciated.

I can‘t speak for the whole EU but in Germany you find Crestron mostly in bigger media projects. In these
Crestron system sits on top to control on first line the media and on second it connects to other systems?
like KNX, BacNET and some more to control the building facilities like lights, shutters, climate/heating.

I believe in the UK Crestron has a bigger presence even in resi systems.

We do resi and this is my part in the company but in Germany the way building projects are done mostly
leads to KNX. If the media gets more complex and in any way a planing instance is common with Crestron
it gets the controlling head of the system.

So yes Crestron had a presence and there are jobs but pretty different to the US...

So my thinking wasn't that far off, KNX seems like its the main technology/protocol over there.

What about automation as a whole? do you guys get jobs regularly? how predominant is it?
