Crestron integration with forbes & lomax keypads #simpl

Hello everyone I have a customer who wants to buy forbes & lomax keypads, he does not want to use crestron keypads. Is it possible to control that devices with crestron??

Thank you so much for your support.

Javier,

I believe that the Forbes & Lomax devices are simple contact closure.
So, the short answer would be yes, but this wouldn't include their rotary dimmers.
Also, I would be sure to mention to the client / designer that no visible feedback would be provided on the keypads.

Good luck,
Brian

Hi Javier,

As Brian said, since Forbes & Lomax are Contact Closure devices you can use C2N-UNI8IO to get the CC from the Buttons.
For the Rotary button, you will have to select the 0-10V model connected to DIN-IO8 which could be quite expensive.

similar to the C2N-UNI8IO is the GLS-SIM, which has two 0-10 inputs on it which could go behind the rotary dimmer.

GLS-SIM and the Forbes and Lomax "0-10v" rotary dimmers do NOT work together. Been there tried that. F&L admitted that it's not really 0-10v, when pressed. It's not just a simple potentiometer with the 3 wires brought out. It's only 2 wires with some electronics inside. I could never get them to reveal what was going on inside. They just said "it works with Lutron".

Those devices look very cool. They have a document on web site about products that integrate with home automation systems. Interestingly, the 0-10v rotary is not listed in the document. Seems like it¡¯s intended to connect directly to an LED 0-10v driver. I¡¯d be interested to get my hands on one to experiment.?
