Add Fonts to Core3 Project?

Eric Williams

New studio release now includes theme editor. Add as many fonts as you like, not beta.

Yes, that's the stretching that iOS 5 allows. Horizontal only. I didn't know that was there. I stand corrected and happy - now I only need to make various height buttons and not various widths also.

It looks to me like it is doing something like 3-slice scaling. I put this
together using the same graphic with two different border values:

The original graphic is 50px square, and the long dimension of the
stretched versions is 175 px.

So I guess that it's good for buttons that stretch horizontally at least.

The border margin in a button theme is for offsetting the position of the
text in the button image. iOS 5 doesn't natively support 9-slicing (more
like 3-slicing if I recall), and it's actually fairly complicated to
implement it. iOS 6 does a better job. I hope that we'll see 9-slicing in
CF,although at the expense of iOS5 and iPad 1 support.

I'm pretty sure that CF *does *support 9-slice scaling. You can define a
border width, which is used all around to define the 9 slices.

How do you import a theme created by someone else? Not looking to edit the theme just import it. I do not have Studio installed on my machine, nor do I want to install it on my machine. Is this possible?

I'm starting a new project using the TSW1050 and the client CANNOT have Arial only.

You need Studio. Period. Newest version includes the theme editor.

Thanks Neil. So I can safely install that on my existing machine? Once upon a time there was talk of using a separate partition or computer.

Is it a fairly painless process? Guess I need to quit my belly aching and just install the thing.

To simply use or import the theme, not edit it, you don't need Studio.

I recently used a theme someone else created, by copying the custom "_theme" file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Crestron\Cresdb\Core3\SysCtrls\themes. This was on a Win7/64 PC, so a different OS might not use the same location.
