I love your positive outlook!...HaHA

My new Pixel 8 Pro should arrive today or tomorrow.? It would be great if that ETA was accurate, considering we're now in Q4... :-)

In lieu of that happening, I was thinking of creating a phone-sized CH5 X-Panel in Construct, by converting a TSW-570P vtz.? Does anyone know a reason that wouldn't work?

I tried to do that for my house as I (and several clients) are waiting for the Android Go app, but the conversion of my usual UI into Construct was a complete mess but my UI has alot of graphics and lists which didnt convert correctly. Basically I needed to rebuild 50-75% of the UI and even with a test UI I was having issues with the HTML5 xpanel connecting to the house remotely. So I gave up and use the crappy work iphone for now. But if your UI is less complicated you may have better results.??

Does Construct support SR lists now? Does it support Media player object yet?

Thank you

Yes mostly and not yet, respectively. Note in windows only as Mac version stalls at splash screen.

It does, however, fully support BHOW and SDW (and TSDWE) Time Sink functions. ;)

Internal beta testing is currently underway.
Some device-specific and OS-specific issues were identified & being worked on.
Q3/Q4 is still the expected timeframe for public release.

Thanks for the update, Dave!

FYI, I've been a beta-tester for Android OS, Google Maps, Waze, Android Auto, and a few others, in case Crestron wants to be added to that list... :-)

2024/2025 or ....??

I just had another client ask me about this yesterday. Not to mention my own phone (Pixel 8 Pro), and my wife's....

It's fucking insane that it takes literally YEARS for Crestron to get this out. Hell, even Savant,an Apple based system has a working Android app.

could agree more the "brain trust" still?charges for an app oh and you can't?even download it GREAT play... join 2024 and give the app away it's worthless without tens of thousands of dollars of Crestron...which is out of stock

Yup...until Home crashes under its own weigh like the previous 12 'wizard' apps they've had over the years...then all of a sudden they'll want us again...

(And yes, HOME is the 13th 'wizard' since I've been a dealer/programmer...really!)

Too much money, personnel and other investments made into this iteration to stop now.? If Home fails, Crestron would probably go with it at this point.? They put all their eggs in the Control 4 basket to gain market share and forgot about the top tier market which made them.? Ah well.

While searching for something else, I ran across this thread and realized there was never a reply.

Maybe Dave is on vacation... ?

I really don't think Crestron has any interest in serving the Android market.

I have seen clients ditch Crestron and opt for Control4 because of this. They would not even entertain the idea of Home as the have lost confidence in Crestron.

Personally, I'm sick to death with Crestron dragging their feet over this. The last update to the Android app was 20 March 2018. Nearly six fucking years. REALLY!

EXACTLY !!!! Crestron please? give both operating systems? the same attention to detail. Employ someone to oversight crestrons? mobile experience rather than the disjointed lapproach we endure now as integrators trying to promote your product . The stupidy and small mindedness is underwhelming. I am losing projects to? C4 as we can't even download an antiquated app that's demo fails let alone support a mobile intercom experience! How long has crestron been great mates with 2n , rava sip?... pathetic is an under statement.

Yep. I¡¯ve actually lost a bid because of their apps. The homeowner actually told me their apps have such poor ratings and they felt like $100 was a slap in the face. I¡¯m a dealer and I feel the same way. It¡¯s embarrassing.?
