older MMS - new OS?

 

i have an MMS-2A
i see there is a new OS
is it worth pursuing?

there is a newer OS mentioned on their site
i contacted them & it is only available thru my local dealer
just wondering what you get
 

I have it, its linux based, very stable and all my streaming services do work.. i rooted mine

You load the OS upgrade to a USB stick and follow a process with a locally connected monitor, keyboard and mouse.? It essentially converts the MMS from windows based to linux based.? You then can update the firmware to a more current firmware.
