Artnet or sAcn module that receives dmx values from third party lighting software and consoles

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hi there, does anyone know of either a Art-Net or Sacn simpl windows module that accepts/receives signal from a third system as well as output signal??? I know that there a sAcn module in for series three processors but this only outputs. Hope someone has something.

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly, but it shouldn't be required. If you want a lighting controller AND Crestron to control lights, you can:
A.) Feed the controller into the Crestron program and have the program merely pass the signals through to the sACN connection.?
B.) Feed a compatible DMX merger such as a Chauvet NET-X II and use HTP.?

If you're asking for a module to "decode" the sACN so you can take analogs and send them to the built-in sACN module, you'll need to sniff the packets, reverse engineer the protocol, and spin one up.?

The thought when I saw the OP wasn¡¯t so much merging two points of control but perhaps the OP has a venue with Crestron house lighting (or other Crestron-ecosystem-type-things) that they want to be able trigger from the ¡°show¡± lighting control board. (e.g. treating Crestron as the slave/dimmer/fixture in the DMX relationship rather than the controller/master)

?

Either way though I¡¯m not sure of anything pre-built in the Artnet/sAcn world since Crestron-as-control is infinitely more common. Both some reverse engineering and careful consideration about how you¡¯re doing the processing on the Crestron side would be needed to make sure you aren¡¯t taxing things in a way that affects the performance of other things the processor may be doing. ?

?

In traditional DMX something like a CueServer could be used to go either direction but that just gets messy fast if traditional DMX isn¡¯t already part of the plan. ?

Thanks guys appreciated your thoughts on this, I¡¯ll post some more detail on what I¡¯m trying to achieve later tonight.
