Socket Error on Weather module

I use the Weather Application from VTPro on my TSW-1050 panels.? I followed all of Crestron's instructions for the changeover to the new service.? All of my devices work (TSW-760, iPad, XPanel) with the exception of the TSW-1050 panels.? They give the following response:

Please Wait ...

Retrieving default location from file system ...

Then when I added the Crestron Weather Processor (1.6) they now say:


Please wait...

Ethernet socket error! Check network connections.

Has anyone seen this error before and, if so, do you have any suggestions?? Thank you in advance!


 

I am dealing with this exact issue right now on a TSW-1050.? Ill update if I find anything.

Roger roger, this is what I have tried so far.

TB instructed me to put the Crestron Weather Processor into my program and claimed that it would fix the problem.? No Joy LOL!

I have tested the XPanel version of the VTPro project and it works just fine.? The problem starts when it is transferred to the TSW-1050.? Basically what I am saying is that, from what I can tell, the problem is with the panels themselves.? Just FYI.

Oh and TB was on my system for an hour and a half and couldn't find anything wrong.


 

I have had a case with TB for 2 weeks. This was their response last week:

"?
We have seen this referenced with a few x50 panels and are currently looking into it. Once there is additional information, I will follow up with an update."

I haven't heard anything else. I have 2 TSW-1050s, a 750 and a 550 that all do it.?


 

Does anyone know what port numbers the new service uses?? Using the netstat command, I am seeing a single IP address with several port numbers associated.? Would love to compare with someone else.


 

There is no need to add anything in Simpl for the VTPro Weather Application. They are two different things. The Weather Application was updated in a recent SG release for a new data provider. But it seems that in one of the newer SG releases they managed to mess up the Weather app completely- I have 50 series as well as 60 series that just get stuck on "Please Wait". Even on some ipads too. I had heard the fix was to roll back SG but not sure. But again the Simpl side has nothing to do with this. The Weather modules are not needed unless you are rolling your own custom weather pages.?


 

The new SG weather sucks anyway.

No text in the weather forecast, just numbers and an icon.

The old weather would give you a full paragraph of context.


 

I have a TPMC-8X-GA and I am also seeing the Ethernet socket error. I just finished chatting with Crestron and the tech said it's a bug and they are working to fix it.
