Using ¡°Power¡± hard key to toggle on/off TSW backlight

I am trying to make use of the hard keys on my panels in my media room. I have the ¡°light bulb¡± triggering a relay to a 12v controller outlet with lamp, and the ¡°Up/Down arrows controlling Program Audio which runs to power amp. I would like to use the ¡°Power¡± key to toggle the TSW¡¯s own backlight, essentially putting the TSW display to sleep until woken with next touch. Can anyone tell me how I can accomplish such a feat? Using a TSW-750 and TSW-1050 with a DMPS-300-C, if that has any relevance. Thanks in advance!

Inside the TSW module in SIMPL programming view is a device extender.? Right click on the TSW, select "insert device extender" then select sleep wake manager.? Drive a toggle from the hard button to the sleep wake signals.

You're better off just connecting the power button directly to the sleep signal in the sleep/wake manager.?

Using the toggle will result in having to press the button twice every time.?

This can be done using Two device extenders. One is the tp activity detection and the other is to system reserved joins (or something close to that I¡¯m going from memory here). In a nutshell you run the button thru a single wave pulse then connect to two buffers. One buffer is enabled by ¡®backlight on¡¯ feedback from the system device extender and the other through a not of the backlight on feedback signal. The outputs of those buffers tie to the corresponding sleep/wake signals on the tp activity device extender. HTH. Peter?

Ended up using power HK for backlight off, and home HK for backlight on. Thanks for the help!
