VT Pro Access Denied
I keep getting access denied on any vtp. file when I hit save. The vtp, file turns into a bak. file when I save and the only way to save the current changes is to go the folder where my vtp. file is located and turn the bak. file back into a vtp. file and then hit save. Is anyone experiencing this? It seemed to happen in the last month.
I would greatly appreciate any help as I have spent 3 hours with Crestron support and they were not able to help me. |
Do you have Dropbox/an alternative running? If so, stop syncing whenever you want to save. Then you can restart synching.

I will get the same error every once in a while. I was able to attribute it to our auto syncing software. All of our programmers have SugarSync running in the background and all programming changes are automatically uploaded to a shared folder. I have found if I try to save a VTP file in the middle of that upload I receive that error. I save syncing till after all changes have been made and I haven't seen the error since.?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI get this also but it¡¯s a bit worse for me.
The output file is generated but the source VTP is deleted while open. Very
annoying.
Only happens a couple of times per week so I can recover...

I get that due to OneDrive every once in a while, sometimes with no warning or error. On a compile I end up with a good .vtz and a .vtp that didn't update. I have auto save enabled, so worst case my vtp.asv might be 5 minutes old. |
I used to get this repeatedly, and of course it always followed my doing something intensive and just before an autosave happened...!
I narrowed it down to a problem with running the file from a dropbox location. I now copy the file to a 'working folder' and then copy this back to dropbox once I am finished. I have not had a problem with the VTP project being deleted since I started doing this. |
I figured out the problem since I do not work out of Dropbox or any cloud storage due to all the issues mentioned above.
Only a few people I talked to had this issue, but it was due to the recent updated version of VT Pro all I did was just reverted back one version. It seemed to fix the problem now I can save with my vtp. file without turning into a bak. file and risk losing all my work. Thanks everyone for your responses! |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI am getting access denied when trying to open up a project. This is new. The project will attempt to open but then get access denied. I can see the folders but I can¡¯t open any pages. Anyone experience this? This seems to be the case on older projects using smart graphics. ? From: Crestron@... [mailto:Crestron@...]
