Siedle SIVS OEM 610-0

Hi all,

My first experience with a Siedle Door Intercom system. No luck getting in touch with the original installer, no luck with the modules on I2P. Have googled for hours and tried Siedle software to connect and see if I can retrieve the addresses of the system, with no luck.

Would anyone be so kind as to share the protocol to begin with? I can deduce what it is probably like looking through the modules, but some formal documentation or guideline would be really helpful.

I did a search and read through all the past posts with dread - but one or two have said they eventually got it going - how? Were addresses given by the Siedle installers, or were you able to find this by doing something with the Siedle intercom and looking at the feedback?

My biggest frustrations/concerns right now are:
1. There does not appear to be a video output from the SIVS unit. When I press the main doorbell, I would assume this activates the camera, but it does not appear to in that the video output is still blank.

2. When I press the main doorbell, no feedback is seen. This seems not to be the case with others. However, I am able to use Crestron's module and get feedback from Siedle, which would seem to indicate that the physical RS232 link is working as expected. Attempts to call doorstations result in an error message in the Crestron module which translates to the address being invalid.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,
Siong, CSP
