NEC E423 Power Save


 

I've searched the forums and cannot find any info about how to turn off power save mode on this display. I have PD Comms tool and it works fine when it's powered on, but I cannot seem to find a command or a menu setting to leave the serial port on when the display is off.

If you know, hook me up. :)

There should be an Energy Option in the Setup Menu - Set it to Retail.

Not sure if this will apply to your specific model, but the commands I've
used in the past are. . .



Power Save On:
&#92;x01&#92;x30&#92;x41&#92;x30&#92;x45&#92;x30&#92;x41&#92;x02&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x45&#92;x31&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x31&#92;x03&#92;x01&#92;x0D

Power Save Off:
&#92;x01&#92;x30&#92;x41&#92;x30&#92;x45&#92;x30&#92;x41&#92;x02&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x45&#92;x31&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x30&#92;x03&#92;x00&#92;x0D



These commands have the Destination Address set to 'A' (the 3rd byte).
