What was all the program info? Are you saying this was some client's program, or just a test program loaded in at the factory?

Touchpanels with local competitor's (to the dealer, not ours) projects loaded; Touchpanels with a far-off (but dealer I know's) projects loaded; Processors with random end-user programs loaded; and I think my favorite: A CP2E running a project with a Crestron employee's name in the header and the file name of "stupid relays.smw" Lincoln -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS Sr. Systems Architect | Crestron Certified Master Programmer (Silver) ControlWorks Consulting, LLC Crestron Services Provider -----Original Message-----

That is awesome!! It has been a while since I have seen a "new" piece with something on it already. Just move on. As long as it works what difference does that really make? I know it "should not have it on there" but do you really want to spend time going back to site, not to mention all the time on the phone. Bothersome and should not be happening, yes, worth all the headaches, no. JMO. --- In Crestron@..., Lincoln King-Cliby <lincoln@...> wrote:

I too have seen this many times. My personal favorite was an old Essentials class program running complete with web xpanel. It was from "Joe's Laptop" and Joe needed practice.

I would agree that if its working fine then what's the harm, however I usually do a couple things when this happens. 1) make sure the physical serial matches what's on the box / packing list. That's how they track when you bought it and thus the warranty period. I have found them not to match on previously opened product, so had I found issue later who knows what the warranty status would've been according to their system. If thats off, swap it or the confusion will never get sorted out. 2) if the serial is correct, call your rep and / or call / email tb about it. Indicate you'll keep it for now, but at least get it documented. (Either emails from the rep or a ticket number from tb). This will buy you extra leeway on the advanced replacement timeframe. At the first sign of hardware trouble, they'll swap no questions asked. --- In Crestron@..., "jcdigitalmethod" <j.j.cunningham@...> wrote:
