Pandora on ATC-Card

Well, first update and fail. Need to have a accound name with less than 21 characters. Sucks for this client since his is using a Pandora One account with multiple devices streaming. He doesn't want to go thru changing all of them just for this Crestron device to work.

fail

It's only $36 a year. He paid 3 times that just for you to figure out what was wrong. Why not just buy a 2nd account?

Wouldn't a second account be missing all the stations that are already set
up in the first account? Can you link them somehow?

It's not the cost of the account in question. It's the stations that have already been setup and all of the devices that he has linked to that account. Cars, PC's, Phones, iPads, and now AUDIONET.

I offered the 'second account' option as well as the 'change the username on the existing account' option. Either way will take up time and effort. I think there should be no limit to the username or a larger limit.

my $.02

There was a rather unfortunate over site in the CRESTRON programming that limited the Touchpanel keyboard to 20 characters.

It can simply be expanded by editing the following:

Name: ATC-AUDIONET TouchPanel Interface v1.1.cmc
Symbol: S-3.2.12.10.4 Full IBM Keyboard(cm)
Change parameter "Max Characters < 50, from 20 to something 50 or less

Save as a user umc file.
Replace each instance in your program of the old cmc with your new umc.
This will work for both a Simpl or SystemBuilder program, but a future update of the SystemBuilder would likely revert the progrmaming back to the old.

Either-way, you unfortunatly have to rebuild the program.
Doing it this way should prevent other unintended changes.

Let us know how you make out
