RS-232 codes, macros and Bridge problems with Clipsal control

Hi! Crestron macros for Clipsal control are well in local Clipsal
subnet. But there is a problem with Clipsal control via bridge. Does
anybody have RS-232 codes for Clipsal PC interface? What to with
Clipsal bridge?
George.

Hi George:

I may be able to help, but would need more information about your project.
I'm assuming you are using more than one Clipsal network since you mention
the network bridge. In order to control lights on the different networks,
you just need to specify which network, application and group address you
want to talk to within your string (all in hex). There is a public release
RS232 protocol available at

You will just need to register with your name and email address and they
will send it to you, otherwise, I'll try to post it in the files section
later today or tomorrow.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi,John
Thanks.
I think only one location in clipsal codes for network address (after
application). I'll try it tomorrow.
I don't like Crestron macros for Clipsal and use RS-232 codes as text
string.
George.

C-bus - Clipsal RS-232 codes.
My problem was in first initialitaion PCI interface.
Now everything is OK. The project works without Crestron macros.
Thank you.

How you make the first initialization works?
For me I need always to use C-Bus Diagnostic Utility, connect the?c-bus PC5500 and control it there, Once I can control it, I remove the cable connected to my PC and put back the serial from my Crestron processor and its works. but when the unit was powered off, I need to do again this procedure.
Is there a string command I need to send for the first initialization??
