Home compatible security system recommendations?
Hello group! I have been tasked with specifying a security system from the Works With Crestron Home list. Does anybody have any personal reccomendations or caveats concerning any particular systems? Would like to use Honeywell or DSC because of availability through our partner, but can go another route if anything integrates particularly well. Thanks! |

DSC hands down.
?
The CH driver for DSC is top notch, the integration is deep, you get complete control and feedback for the entire system: Zones, partitions, etc.

Hi David,
?
Are you referring to the Neo panels, with the TL280(R)(E) TCP/IP communication module? In the documentation Crestron says they support the Neo panels, but then only mention setup with serial comms via the IT100 with the PCxxx panels, and says those only support keypad emulation. True Blue confirmed to use the TCP/IP module with the Neo line, just looking for some hands on verification. |
Okay what am I missing....
I think I'm with Andrew M on this. For the Past 10 years, We have used DSC with all our Crestron Integrations (SMPL & Home) up until 1 year ago when they stopped making the old Panels. Our Security Company, and 3 more I talked to, all said the same thing...
The new Panels will only integrate with ONE system.? Crestron or Alarm.com, but not both.
And No Security Company will Monitor an Alarm Panel if it can't be connected to Alarm.com.
GE, and Ademco, are all gone.? So we had no choice but to stop integrating with Alarm Panels.
?
Please someone, show me where I'm wrong.
