Dolby Atmos with MD-DM16x16 and 4kz cards

I have a DM-MD16x16 with a DMC-4KZ-HD input card and DMC-4KZ-HDO Output card and for the life of me I cannot get Dolby Atmos going.
?
I have a Hisense HS512 soundbar and also tried with a Pioneer VSX-834 AVR and I cannot get Atmos to work, I can get TrueHD to work with the EDID tool in Toolbox but can't find an option for Atmos. EDID tool has DD+ and TrueHD.
?
I have a PS5 and Apple TV, PS5 has an option to choose Atmos but doesn't say atmos on the soundbar or receiver. I noticed when I used a 4K blu ray and set the audio to bitstream, I was able to get Dolby Atmos on the soundbar and the audio is set to HBR Compressed in Crestron Toolbox and on the switcher.
?
With the Apple TV connected, I get 4K HDR but no Atmos, most I can get is Dolby Digital 5.1, on the switcher the audio is set to LBR Compressed.
?
Any ideas or am i out of luck without buying more parts?

The digital media firmware release notes states that Atmos doesn't work. No word if or when it will be added.

My Partner's setup, which includes a Sony 715ES projector, Indy Audio Muse now replaced with a Trinnov (which is unreal!), 16x16/4kz cards+RMCs and a 4K ATV and KScape Strato, has required a lot of hacking over the last year to get it to start playing nice in this area. We think that things are pretty stable now...
Try one of two EDID settings:
The DM has a default options for '4K60 444 HBR HDR' try this first. This is on the KScape input card
Also we had someone (Crestron maybe) create a custom EDID that is currently being used with the AppleTV. It's called 'MOM - HSR82T_C_Out10_3' and I'll place it in the files section...

Though I think that we have things working well now, unfortunately my feeling is that all technology today is kind of walking a knife's edge and the more complicated/sophisticated things are, the more likely it is to fall off the edge...
Let me know if things work out for you...

I'll give that a crack this afternoon.

With the EDID file, you just applied that to the input card that the Apple TV is using?

I know that Apple TV's don't do bitstream so this might be the answer, I'll let you know how i go with it.

?

But it still needs an Atmos-capable sink, otherwise it won?t send the additional Atmos data.

?

Cheers,
Thorsten

I tried the EDID file and I can get Atmos with both the PS5 and Apple TV.

Thanks!!

So my earlier statement was wrong, the firmware release notes warning is only for the dowmnmixing of Atmos/DTS-X with a -DSP card. Has anyone found a workaround or know if this will be ever implemented?
