Spectrum /Comcast Zumo streaming box

 

Hi, I am in the process of changing my TV provider from Directv that I have been with since '96. I have been controlling my tuner using my Crestron system, both IR and IP without any issues. I have just changed over to Spectrum as a provider with the Zumo stream player. My understanding is that Comcast / Xfinity are using the same player. Has anyone had any luck controlling this unit, if so how did you do it??

I'm not familiar with Spectrum's box, but Comcast/Xfinity uses a DirecTV Stream. It uses different IR codes than the DirecTV receivers, but there's a driver in the Group's Files section.

Thanks Tony, I'll give a try and let you know. This stream box is a Xumo which as I understand is used by Comcast / Xfinity and Comcast / Spectrum. I've got my fingers crossed.

I just put 5 of these in for a client yesterday. 2 of them are being replaced by spectrum because they wouldn¡¯t grab an IP address.?

I was able to get IR control working for them, with the unit powered off the remote will output IR and you can learn those codes. If the unit is powered on the remote uses RF and will not output any IR. I can dig up the IR file and post that last today if you want it.?

I would appreciate the IR file for sure. I'm going to be digging into this over the weekend.

I uploaded the .pkg to the file section. I was using crestron home so the menu button is tied to the settings button, if I was using Simpl I would have tied that button somewhere else, you can remap it in Device Learner if needed.?
