Re: Alternative to NAX-8ZSA?
#crestron
+1? I'm also curious what others are doing.? I haven't found any matrix that will work with Crestron Home and writing a custom driver is no small task, unfortunately.? The NAD?CI 980 has a Simpl driver, but is incomplete (no volume control- not sure how one misses that).? They also published the protocol and it doesn't look hard to implement a custom driver.? Again, something that has a driver for CH would be nice.?

DSP1283 Avia connection problem
Hi All,
I have an old -2019- DSP1283 and having problem with Avia connection. All networking seems fine, there are other Crestron devices in the same subnet. Via Tools or console connection is without problem. The error code is 1803. Any experience? All possible firewall and defender are off btw. |
Re: Where do you like to have your UI control logic?? SMW or VTP
#poll-notice
Entirely SMW over VTP but with SMW/CH5 then it can be as much as 90% CH5

Lincoln King-ClibyVery easy.? I look at the other device and write it down.? Cancelled? -- just cross it off. |

Where do you like to have your UI control logic?? SMW or VTP

I'm interested in where others like to put their UI control logic - SimplWindows or VTpro
Things like Page Flips, visibility, Feedback status, etc. TIA for your input!!! |
Re: Duplicating zone question
Good morning.
There are several things to consider that will determine a successful / enjoyable outcome here: 1. Do the two types of loudspeakers have the same impedance rating? If so, each will receive an equal share of the power applied. 2. Is the "sensitivity" rating of the loudspeakers the same (ie: 90db/SPL 1 watt @ 1 meter)? if different, the more sensitive loudspeaker will produce the louder sound level. 3. Will you ALWAYS want the same loudness relationship between the two types of loudspeakers? 4, Some "speaker splitter boxes" provide individual level adjustment and impedance compensation. That might be a benefit to you here. 5. The BEST path would be to use individual outputs on the AAE. Yes, some programming might be required; that might be beneficial (IT DEPENDS). |

I work for a few dealers that are using amps from AudioControl and Autonomic, which seem to be readily available.

However, I only work with custom-programmed systems, and don't know if there's a Crestron Home driver available for those amps. --- On Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:02 AM, David Chramcow wrote: |
Alternative to NAX-8ZSA?
#crestron
Hello,
Given that the waiting time for the DM-NAX-8ZSA to ship from Crestron is around ~8 months, what would be a reasonable alternative to that solution from a 3rd party for a Crestron Home install? |

Re: Timer module
#programming
Correct, If that limitation would be an issue then that's where you'd have to separate them out into numerous analogs which is still quite trivial.

Re: Strange problem adding DM NVX devices with 7.0.x firmware to Crestrron Home 3.12
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThat sounds a good amount of time. Presumably you have the right admin credentials. It¡¯s possible for the NVX to block the processors IP which won¡¯t help at all :/Tim Greenbank Control Systems Engineer On 18 Apr 2022, at 13:59, bryan_d_garcia <bdgarcia@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHow long are you leaving it after adding? The NVX unit will reboot after adding and this can take a few minutes to fully come back online Tim Greenbank Control Systems Engineer On 18 Apr 2022, at 13:55, bryan_d_garcia <bdgarcia@...> wrote:
